This is an old dock that’s barely visible from the Mississippi River Bridge when driving through Baton Rouge. It was an amazing location for a photoshoot.

As soon as we got to the shore of the lake where we were going to shoot, Mayye pulled off her t-shirt and dropped her gym shorts, revealing all of her naked glory. She was ready to model and is one of the spunkiest, fun people I’ve worked with.

Against the backdrop of a beautiful nature area, their collaboration takes on a special significance. However, the transient nature of such locations is highlighted by the fact that a hospital now stands where they once shot, underscoring the fleeting beauty of untouched landscapes.
Megan is probably one of the most amusing and entertaining models I have ever worked with on a shoot. You never know how long a beautiful nature area will last. There’s a hospital now where we did this shoot. This is the same place I photographed Mayye. Like the title of this post says, “Today is all you ever have.”

The sun was warm, the water in the river was refreshing and KT and I made some beautiful art… It was so fun to capture the inner child in the last set as she frolicked in the muddy river bank. 🙂
At the end of Jason Lee’s photography session with model Jessi, the photoshoot took on a mesmerizing dimension against the backdrop of an old plantation slave church, adorned with hand-painted faux stained glass windows. These unique windows provided an enchanting and unconventional setting, adding depth and intrigue to Jessi’s nude portraits. You could see the 200 year old brush strokes in the painted windows. There was such a peaceful calm in the building where people have wondered and worshipped for so many years.
During their photography session, Brandi experienced a profound revelation. Engaging in discussions about the inherent beauty of the human body and God’s original intentions for humanity, Brandi underwent a transformation. As the shoot progressed, she tapped into a deeper understanding of her true self, allowing her authentic essence to shine through. I often have chats about the goodness of the body and God’s original plan for humanity and, towards the end of our shoot, Brandi really zoned into expressing her true self! It’s so beautiful to see a person exhibiting that truth.

“I’m hard to photograph, so we’ll see how you do,” she said. She loved them, so I guess I did ok.
For Christal, posing nude for Jason Lee’s camera proved to be a profoundly liberating experience. Initially reserved, she blossomed into her true self as she shed her clothing, unveiling a newfound sense of freedom and confidence. Being photographed nude is a really freeing experience. Christal truly stepped into herself when she removed her clothing. What looked like shyness at first turned into liberty and a poignant thoughtfulness.

I love how Lou uses clothing as an accessory instead of a shield. She’s a treasure.

Embracing the notion that bikinis essentially mimic the skin they cover, Lee challenges conventional norms by eliminating the need for fabric altogether.
