Embracing the gritty backdrop of fluorescent tagging, they opt for a wild body paint theme to complement the surroundings. With enthusiasm and creativity, Angel fully immerses herself in the concept, embodying the untamed spirit of their vision. This is an old dock that’s barely visible from the Mississippi River Bridge when driving through Baton Rouge. It was an amazing location for a photoshoot.

Body paint is so fun – especially when you have an enthusiastic model like Kylie! Kylie is the kind of ringleader I love. She brought two fun friends with her, Rachel and Brooke, and we had a blast shooting them individually and then as a group.

As soon as we got to the shore of the lake where we were going to shoot, Mayye pulled off her t-shirt and dropped her gym shorts, revealing all of her naked glory. She was ready to model and is one of the spunkiest, fun people I’ve worked with.

Undeterred by the downpour, they embark on a wet hike to a steamy river location. However, Brigette’s unexpected decision to remain clothed instead of proceeding with artistic nudes poses a dilemma for Jason. Faced with disappointment and disillusionment, Jason confronts his emotions, ultimately choosing to embrace the day’s somber atmosphere as their thematic backdrop. Standing there dripping wet — after setting aside a full day to shoot and planning this off and on for three years — I wanted to give up. Honestly, I was feeling a lot of negative emotions. I like to use this shoot as an example sometimes of how you can work through your own emotions as a photographer through art. The effects of the gloomy day were working on both of us, so we decided to use those powerful emotions as our theme. Can you feel it in the images?

However, the transient nature of such locations is highlighted by the fact that a hospital now stands where they once shot, underscoring the fleeting beauty of untouched landscapes.
Megan is probably one of the most amusing and entertaining models I have ever worked with on a shoot. You never know how long a beautiful nature area will last. There’s a hospital now where we did this shoot. This is the same place I photographed Mayye. Like the title of this post says, “Today is all you ever have.”

I often have chats about the goodness of the body and God’s original plan for humanity and, towards the end of our shoot, Brandi really zoned into expressing her true self! It’s so beautiful to see a person exhibiting that truth.
Completely captivated by the liberating experience of her first shoot with Jason Lee, Magon eagerly seizes the opportunity for another session. Her enthusiasm is palpable as she embraces the prospect of further exploration and self-expression through Lee’s lens. With a newfound sense of confidence and excitement, Magon embarks on this next chapter of her photographic journey, ready to delve deeper into the realms of artistry and vulnerability. With a simple gesture—stepping away, dropping her towel, and walking towards the river’s edge—she transformed the ordinary into something magical. I love how Lou uses clothing as an accessory instead of a shield. She’s a treasure.
In the quest for artistic nude expression, Jason Lee and Megan venture into the depths of the woods, discovering the remnants of an old farm. Amidst the overgrown foliage, they stumble upon outbuildings, industrial relics, and even a quaint red wagon. Against this backdrop of forgotten history, Megan’s presence radiates with a raw, uninhibited beauty, juxtaposed against the rustic decay of their surroundings. Exploring with Megan was so fun. We only got through half of our adventure before we ran out of time, so another shoot was in order!
