Embarking on a photographic adventure, Jason Lee and model Naddy stumbled upon an unexpected treasure trove of abandoned International Metro Milk Trucks while en route to their original shoot location. Captivated by the serendipitous discovery, they seized the opportunity to incorporate these unique relics into their creative vision. Against the backdrop of the rusty, shot-up panel van, Naddy provided a striking contrast, adding an element of allure and mystery to the scene. Embracing the spontaneity of the moment, they ventured into daring terrain to capture images that merged the beauty of the human form with the ruggedness of the abandoned vehicles. Through Jason’s lens, the fusion of Naddy’s presence with the forgotten remnants of the past resulted in a series of captivating photographs that celebrated the spirit of adventure and the power of artistic expression.

On our way to shoot at a spectacular (and unique) location, I accidentally passed the turnoff. When coming back, I happened to look down and see some old International Metro Milk Trucks that had been abandoned and shoved off of a cliff, down in a valley below. It looked like a perfect addendum to our shoot! I love contrasting models with scrapped classic cars, so we couldn’t pass up this providential opportunity. Naddy was a wonderful contrast to the rusty, shot-up panel van. How fun it was to join up for an adventure and risk some daring terrain to make some amazing art.

In their fourth collaboration, muse Hannah and photographer Jason Lee, a striking body paint photoshoot took place amidst the captivating landscape of the desert. Set against the backdrop of rare rock formations found in only a few parts of the world, including Idaho, the shoot offered a unique and visually stunning environment. Hannah’s natural beauty and artistic expression were enhanced by the intricate body paint, creating a mesmerizing fusion of art and nature. Both Hannah and Jason embraced the creative process wholeheartedly, resulting in a successful shoot filled with joy and excitement. Through Jason’s lens, the beauty of the desert landscape and Hannah’s captivating presence were immortalized, capturing the essence of their collaborative endeavor.

As usual, Hannah rocked this shoot and we had a blast doing it. It’s definitely been fun working with her.

Ghost of a Note We Skipped

Exploring a ghost town in the vastness of the western landscape, Naddy and AJ join photographer Jason Lee for a memorable shoot. Naddy, reconnecting after two years, brings along AJ for a day of adventure captured amidst the Idaho desert. Their collaboration yields captivating images, a testament to spontaneity and friendship in photography.

One of the great things about living out west is finding the occasional ghost town. This one was great fun to explore with Naddy and AJ. We also serendipitously found some abandoned old milk trucks that rested at the bottom of a cliff! I met Naddy several years before this shoot and gave her a business card. About two years later, she reached out on Instagram and asked if I still wanted to shoot with her and would it be ok if she brought a friend? Let’s do it! And we did. These are some excerpts from that great day of shooting in the Idaho desert.

Waiting for Daylight

In a word: EPIC. Jason Lee and Willow ventured into the Oregon desert, where the vast expanse of the playa stretched before them. Surrounded by cracked earth and distant mountains shrouded in mist, they embraced the solitude of the desert. With nothing but silence to accompany them, Willow’s dance across the barren landscape became a mesmerizing spectacle, capturing the essence of raw beauty amidst the desolate terrain.

The sound of silence was in our ears as Willow danced across the desert.
