You Had Your Light

After years of scheduling conflicts, photographer Jason Lee and model Madison finally managed to collaborate. They chose two very different locations, one with a stark backdrop of volcanic rocks and another featuring an abandoned farmhouse. With each venue, Jason used natural light to capture shots that highlighted Madison’s classic Hollywood aura reminiscent of the 1930s.

It took a few years and a few tries before Madison and I were able to find a date that would work for both of our busy schedules, but one day the calendars aligned! We shot in a dry riverbed full of volcanic rocks and an abandoned farmhouse and got some nice contrasty shots.

Accompanied by KC, Jason Lee explores a college campus adorned with raw concrete and brick. Delving into the interplay between the human form and elemental structures, Lee captures KC’s striking presence.

While clothed, KC blends into the crowd effortlessly, but when nude, she radiates a powerful aura, commanding attention amidst the sparse surroundings, creating captivating imagery. Her form in the images we captured shines out from the sparseness behind and around her.
